After breakfast at hotel, guests will depart towards north, to visit the Graeco-Roman city of Jerash [Gerasa in ancient times]. Jerash is a fine example of the grand, formal and provincial Roman cities of the Decapolis found throughout the Middle East. Remains from Neolithic, as well as Greek, Byzantine and Ommayad times confer the site a close second best to Petra on the list of favorite destinations in Jordan.
A short journey west from Jerash, through pine forests and olive groves, will bring the tourists to the Castle of Ajloun [Qala’at Al RAbad], built in 1184 by osman ibn Munqich, a nephew of Saladin who defeated the Crusaders in 1187. The castle also protected the communication routes between south Jordan and Syria, and was one of a chain of forts which lit beacons at night to pass signals from the Euphrates as far as Cairo. Drive back to hotel in Amman for Dinner & Overnight.

After Breakfast at hotel, guests will depart towards south, along the 5,000 year old king’s Highway to Petra, passing through a string of ancient sites. The first city to discover will be Madaba- “the City of Mosaics”-, which has been intermittently inhabited for nearly 3,500 years. Guests will visit the Greek-Orthodox St. George Church which shelters one of the most famous mosaics in the Middle East: the Sixth Century vivid mosaic Map of the Holy Land showing Jerusalem. Ten minutes to the west is one of the most revered holy places in Jordan: Mt. Nebo, the presumed site of Prophet Moses’ death and burial place. From a platform in front of the Church built on the site by Franciscan Monks, one can enjoy a breathtaking view across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
One and a half-hour’s drive towards south, tourists will continue their journey into history visiting the Crusader’s Fortress of Kerak. Perched on a craggy plateau at 4,300 feet above sea level, the majestic Fortress, built in 1142 by the Crusaders to protect the approach to Jerusalem, and conquered by Salah Al Din after a 50-year siege, the fortification came in the fold of the Arab World.
After the visit, tourists will be transferred to the Red-Rose city of Petra of check in at their selected hotel, Dinner & Overnight.

After breakfast at hotel, tourists will be transferred to Petra site, the most spectacular attraction in the Kingdom, the legendary ‘rose red city half as old as time’, carved out of craggy rocks by the Nabateans, an industrious Arab people who settled in the South more than 2,000 years ago. Fortified behind a narrow, deep Siq [Gorge] that slowly winds through a massive rock wall, the majestic façade of the so-called Treasury [Al-Khazneh] rises up with a breathtaking view as if out of a story book as you emerge into the sunlight. The Monastery [El Deir] and the High Place of Sacrifice [al Madbah] are among the myriad archeological wonders to be explored at Petra. A full day will be at tourists’ disposal to discover the perhaps most stunning site in the entire Middle East. Transfer back to hotel in Petra for Dinner & Overnight.

After breakfast at hotel, depart to Wadi Rum desert described by legendary Lawrence of Arabia as “Vast, Echoing and God like”. Timeless and starkly beautiful, Wadi Rum desert lies at a little over an hour’s drive from Petra. By jeep, for around 02 hours, guests will explore ancient valleys where the elements of nature have modeled and carved out extraordinary vistas and have left strips of scorched earth and streches of sand which change into shades of yellow, red and orange. Among the most famous sites to see are: Lawrence of Arabia’s Springs, Jabal Khaz’ali, Mountain of Seven Pillars of Wisdom & moving sands.
