Red Sea Diving (8 Days)
Aqaba’s Red Sea offers some of the best underwater diving sites in the world, together with warm, crystal clear waters almost year round, excellent 5* PADI facilities and 14 dive sites with easy shore and boat access.
Please note that unless you wish to undertake a beginners diving course, your diving certification card is required. Aqaba, with its fringing coral reefs is also perfect for snorkelling—all of Aqaba’s dive sites are accessible from the shore. Description of dive sites is available for free upon request.
Day 1: Arrival Amman
Arrive Queen Alia International Airport, meeting and assistance at the airside by our friendly staff and transfer to hotel in Amman. Overnight at hotel in Amman.
Day 2: Amman / Aqaba
Morning departure south to Aqaba. Arrive to Aqaba four hours later and check in at your hotel. In the afternoon you will have your first dive. Transfer back to hotel for overnight.
Day 3 to Day 5: Aqaba
Breakfast. A typical diving day starts after breakfast with two dives planned for the day. Each dive at a different dive site including the Cedar Pride shipwreck, Japanese Garden and Gorgonion sites. Return to diving club for lunch. Overnight at hotel in Aqaba.
Day 6: Aqaba / Wadi Rum / Petra
Breakfast. Morning free for leisure or snorkelling. Early afternoon departure to Wadi Rum for a 4x4 desert tour. After sunset depart to Petra. Check in at hotel and overnight in Petra.
Day 7: Petra / Amman
Visit Petra on horseback, walk through the Siq, explore Rose-red City, Treasury, Royal Tombs, burial chambers and high places of sacrifice. Return to Amman in late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Amman.
Day 8: Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to Queen Alia Airport for departure. Assistance with formalities. End of services.
Jordan & Israel Itinerary for Tour Operators
Day 1
Our group tour starts in Petra. We will arrange transportation for you if you are arriving from the capital of Jordan, Amman. The drive from Amman to Petra takes about 3 hours. Tour members would be arriving at different times. Some may be jet lagged while others, not. Those who arrive early enough and have some energy should join us as we see Petra by night.
Day 2
Today we are to explore Petra as well as Little Petra, the latter of which is a 15-minute drive away from town.
Day 3
Today we are to relocate to Eilat, Israel. En route, we are to make a stopover in Wadi Rum. It is about a 2.5-hour drive away from Petra. Wadi Rum is a valley cut into sandstone and granite rock in southern Jordan. The area is best explored by a guided Jeep tour.
Day 4
As a daytrip, we go on a group tour to both Timna Park and the Red Canyon. After returning to Eilat, we are to go snorkeling in the Red Sea.
Day 5
Today we relocate to Jerusalem via a 4.5-hour drive. Before leaving Eilat, we swim and interact with dolphins at the Dolphin Reef. We should arrive in Jerusalem in the early evening.
Day 6
Today we make a daytrip to Nazareth, Kafr Kanna, the Mount of Beatitudes, Tabgha, Golan Heights, the Sea of Galilee, Capernaum and Yardenit.
Day 7
Today we make a daytrip to Caesarea, Rosh Hanikra grottoes, Haifa and Akko (Acre).
Day 8
Today we make a daytrip to Masada, Ein Gedi and the Dead Sea.
Day 9
Today we make a daytrip to the West Bank area including the Judaean Desert, Jericho, Mount of Temptation, Bethlehem and more. The most popular of these destinations are Bethlehem and Jericho.
Day 10
Our group tour ends today. We will provide you with transportation to the airport.
